Privacy Policy

What Manage99 collects, why, and what you can do about it. Manage99 is a task manager for iPhone, built and operated by an independent developer. There is no advertising network and no data broker involved.

Entry 01

What we collect

Account information — your email address, and optionally a name. If you create a password it is stored only as a one-way hash; we never see or store it in readable form. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the email address Apple provides, which may be a private relay address.

Content you create — the substance of what you use the app for: task titles, notes, due dates and deadlines, groups, labels, sub-tasks, templates and saved filters.

Preferences — theme, accent colour, daily goal, week start and display density.

Voice input — if you use voice capture, Apple's speech recognition converts what you say into text. Depending on your device and settings Apple may process the audio on its own servers to do that, under Apple's privacy policy rather than this one. Manage99 never receives, records or stores audio — only the resulting text, which then becomes a task like any other.

Reminders — notifications are scheduled on your device by iOS. Manage99 does not send push notifications and does not collect or store a device token.

Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription, and which plan. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your card details.

Usage data — app opens, screens viewed, and feature-usage events, through our analytics provider PostHog. Events record that something happened, not what it said: creating a task records that a task was created, along with whether it had a due date or a reminder — never the task's text. Analytics captured from taps is deliberately limited to component and control names, and cannot include text you typed.

Entry 02

How we use it

  • To provide the app's features and keep your data in sync across sessions and devices.
  • To send the reminders you configure.
  • To determine whether your subscription is active.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which features are used and where people get stuck.
What we don't do: we do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Entry 03

Who we share it with

Manage99 relies on a small number of service providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us, and none may use it for their own purposes.

ProviderWhat they process
SupabaseHosts the database holding your account and your content.
RailwayHosts the application backend that talks to that database.
PostHogProduct usage analytics, as described in Entry 01. Servers in the United States.
RevenueCatManages subscription state — which plan you hold and whether it is active. No card details.
Expo / EASDelivers app updates and routes push notifications.
AppleApp Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, push delivery, and all payment processing.

We do not otherwise share your information, and we do not sell it. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Entry 04

Data on your device

Manage99 is built to work without a connection. To make that possible, your tasks and settings are stored on your device as well as on our servers, and changes you make offline are queued locally until they can be sent.

That local copy lives in the app's own storage, protected by iOS. Deleting the app removes it, along with anything still queued and unsent.

Entry 05

Retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and everything in it at any time, from Settings → Delete Account, without contacting us first.

Deletion removes your account and content from our database. Analytics events already recorded are not linked to your content and are retained in aggregate; ask us and we will delete your analytics profile too. Apple keeps its own record of purchases, which we cannot remove.

Entry 06

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your information. Deletion is self-service in the app. For anything else, email the address in Entry 10 and we will handle it directly — there is no form and no ticket queue.

We apply the same practice to everyone, wherever you are: we do not sell personal information, and we honour access, correction and deletion requests regardless of location.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are: performance of a contract for your account, your content and your subscription — we cannot provide the app without them — and legitimate interests for aggregate product analytics and for keeping the service secure. You may object to the analytics processing at any time by emailing us, and we will exclude your account from it.

If you are in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights of access, deletion, correction and portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

Entry 07

Where your data is held

Manage99 is operated from the United States, and our providers store and process data on servers in the United States. Manage99 is available worldwide, so if you use it from outside the United States your information is transferred there and handled under this policy.

For transfers of personal data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and the UK Addendum where applicable, as incorporated into our agreements with the providers listed in Entry 03.

Entry 08

Children's privacy

Manage99 is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Entry 09

Security

Connections use HTTPS, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and access to the database is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Entry 10

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.

Document 02

Terms of Service

The rules for using Manage99, in plain language. By creating an account you agree to them.

Entry 01

Acceptance

By creating a Manage99 account or using the app you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy above. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Entry 02

The service

Manage99 is a task manager for iPhone, designed to keep working without a connection. It is a single-user product: there is no sharing, collaboration or team functionality. We may add, change or remove features as the app develops.

Entry 03

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to use Manage99.

Entry 04

Your content

You own what you create in Manage99. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display it back to you, solely to operate the app. We do not use your content for any other purpose, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

Entry 05

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Manage99 for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or disrupt the service.
  • Do not attempt to access another person's account or data.
Entry 06

Subscriptions

Manage99 is a paid app. Beyond any free trial, an active subscription is required to use it. There is no permanently free tier.

Two plans are offered — monthly and annual. Both unlock the entire app; there is no higher tier and no feature held back. The price is the one shown in the App Store at the time you subscribe, in your local currency, and it is displayed to you before you confirm.

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same interval, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel first.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time.

Entry 07

Free trial

New subscribers may be offered a free introductory period, currently one week, as an introductory offer on either plan. Eligibility is determined by Apple, and one trial is available per subscription group — not one per plan.

The trial requires a payment method and converts into a paid subscription automatically when it ends, at the price shown when you signed up, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it finishes.

If you cancel during the trial you keep access until the trial period ends and are not charged.

Entry 08

Cancellation & refunds

Cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Apple is the seller of record for every purchase, and refund decisions are theirs. Request one through Apple's support site. We are glad to help you with it, but we cannot issue a refund ourselves.

If we ever raise the price of an existing subscription, Apple will ask for your agreement before charging the new amount, and will not charge it without your consent.

Entry 09

Termination

You may stop using Manage99 and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple Account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Entry 10

Warranty disclaimer

Manage99 is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Entry 11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manage99 and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost data or lost profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Entry 12

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer-protection right you hold under the law of the place where you live — including, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Entry 13

Changes

We may update these terms as the app develops. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Manage99 after a change means you accept the updated terms.
